Golf Courses
With world class desingers including: Arnold Palmer, Tom Fazio, Arthur Hills, and William Byrd, even the most avid golfer should discover an exciting challenge to choose from it’s six different courses boasting 108 holes.
Marshwood Course
The Marshwood course is designed by Arnold Palmer and Frank Duane which features 6,762 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The 12th, a par three facing Romerly Marsh and Wassaw Sound is said to be the most scenic at The Landings.
Magnolia Course
The Magnolia course measures 6,891 yards from the longest tees, and offers 6 sets of tees for different skill levels. The 18th is a tough par four, over and around a lagoon to an elevated green.
Palmetto Course
The Palmetto course hosts a par of 72, and 6,992 yards of golf. Designed by Arthur Hills, it’s considered to be one of the most challenging courses. It holds the gravesite of Mr. Philip Delgal and early settler on Skidaway, and located on the 13th hole.
Oakridge Course
The Oakridge course features long holes turning to the left and right, while some of the par 4’s & 5’s are tight enough to use a long iron off the tee leaving a manageable shot to the green. The 15th hole, known as “the cemetery” because of the small family plot to the left of the fairway with beautiful views of the intercoastal waterway.
Deer Creek Course
The Deer Creek course showcases 6,956 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by Thomas Fazio, ASGCA, this course is home to the Savannah Golf Championship, an official Korn Ferry event. The par three’s are the toughest on the island.
Terrapin Point Course
The Terrapin Point course was designed by William Byrd and stretches 6,814 yards of wonderful golf on bermuda grass. It provides spectacular views of lagoons, marsh and beautiful oaks.
